HOLY NAME OF JESUS
PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL
The parish pastoral council exists to assist the parish priest of the Holy
Name in the execution of his pastoral duties to the people of the parish.
Under his guidance and stewardship it aims to help him identify and understand
the needs of the parish generally and specifically. Together priest and people
build up and strengthen the Body of the Christ.
The members of the parish pastoral council are elected onto the council for
a specific period of time in accordance with the council’s constitution.
They reflect a variety of age groups within the parish thus ensuring that
as broad a spectrum of people as possible is represented.
Members of the parish wishing to have their views expressed anonymously or
otherwise are invited to approach any member of the council with questions
or issues that affect the holistic development of the parish. It is not a
forum for individual grievances but must seek at all times to be of service
to the mission of the Church in this area.
The current members of the council are as follows:
Rev. Mgr. Canon Peter McGuire, Prot. Ap. (Chair)
Rev. Fr. Simon Lodge
Mr Tony Allinson
Mrs Jane Cavadino
Mrs Christine Firth
Mr Matthew Lloyd
Mrs Christina Piatti (secretary)
Mr Sean Quigley
Mrs Maria Sinclair
Mrs Moira Taylor
Minutes of the Council are posted on this website and on the Council notice board in the church porch.
