My dear friends,

We live in an age of daily technological advancement. Few of us could ever have imagined how the world of communication would develop and what new opportunities there would be to proclaim the Gospel of Christ in our day. The internet is one of the greatest tools at our disposal today. So it is without any hesitation and with great delight that I commend you as you join the multitude of people who, through this medium, bring Christ’s message to those who are waiting to hear it.
The internet can be used for good as well as bad. Yet, despite our fears, we are called by the Lord to put out into the deep and pay out your nets for a catch (Luke 5:4). We must not be lacking in generosity to this request. With the Lord at our side we must dare to venture into these new waters and thus make it possible for the Lord to find those who are lost and frightened and who look for safety and truth and consolation. This is what the Lord calls every generation in the Church to do. It is the stuff of which missionaries are made and we, in our day, are Christ’s ambassadors. We have nothing to fear.
I thank those who have given of themselves, their time and their expertise in producing this new website. I have no doubt it will be appreciated and bring about much good.

With every blessing
and an assurance of my good wishes and prayers,

Rt Reverend Arthur Roche
Bishop of Leeds.
