Music Groups
Holy Name Church has always had a fine tradition in music and has been
blessed over the years to count a number of accomplished musicians amongst
the congregation. The present day is no exception with a number of organists
and the Parish Choir helping to celebrate the liturgy at most of the Sunday
masses.
We are also proud of our Young People's Music Group which boasts
instrumentalists in woodwind, brass and percussion together with a number of
excellent young vocalists. Despite all the other calls on their time this
group meets regularly to practice and leads the congregation at masses at
Christ the King (Youth Sunday), Easter, Christmas and a number of other
Sundays throughout the year. They are also leading the music at the Annual
Ecumenical Harvest Service being held at Holy Name this year.
