Sleeping with Sharks 2010

150 Cubs and some very hungry sharks!!!!

Come join other Cubs from Shire Oak district for a night you’ll never forget…
We’ll be sleeping in the World’s only Submarium (underwater aquarium) after everyone else has gone home! Never mind swimming with Dolphins, we’ll be sleeping with sharks!!!
The date is Saturday 20th November ’10 and the cost is £29.50 per Cub and £7.50 per Leader, which covers coach transport both ways, entrance to The Deep in Hull, activities, breakfast and a specially commissioned souvenir badge for camp blankets.

Mean Bean Eaters for Red nose day!

The Cubs had three minutes each to eat as many baked beans as they could using only chopstick.

One Cub managed to each 90 beans, but this could have been more as he had eaten all the beans he had been given with a little time to spare. Over the two minutes the Cubs managed to consume over 1600 beans, raising money for comic relief through sponsorship.

The Chopsticks were kindly donated by Hong Kong Supercook Chinese and Thai Takeaway, Long Row Horsforth and we would also like to thank all those who sponsored the Cubs. The total amount raised will be collated over the next couple of weeks.

The Cubs also did some fun activities including making, then eating, a Red Nose Day Pizza and playing relay and football games wearing their Red Noses.
