Holy Name of Jesus Parish Council
The Parish Council exists to assist the Parish Priest in carrying out his pastoral ministry to the Parish Community. It is to help him identify, understand, and respond to the spiritual needs of parishioners. At regular intervals Parishioners will be given the opportunity to offer their services as members of the Council so that Priest and people can collaborate in building up the Body of Christ.
The Council is involved in the following general activities: Arranging Parish social events; planning the main outline of important Liturgical events; liaison with other parish Groups; responding to requests for local Catholic initiatives; responding to any suggestions that are made by parishioners or issues that arise within the parish; providing a sounding board for appraising the welfare of the parish as a whole. Present members are: Fr Pat Smythe; Maria Sinclair; Tony Allinson; Jane Cavadino; Sean Quigley; Christine Firth; Josie Liddell, Ingrid Gardner, Patrick Cadogan, Maureen Carlton, Kim O'Rourke, Una Laverty, Helena Bramma, Ann Michaud.
